welcome to wholley goodings llp

Newcastle Solicitors
Wholley Goodings were formed in 1988, opening in Bedlington. After a very successful ten years, we took over the older firm of Tocher Neal & Company in Morpeth on 1st September 1997, to allow us to offer a wider service to all of our customers.
We are franchised to the Legal Aid Board in family law and have been awarded contracts in family law to supply legal aid services. We have solicitors who are members of the Solicitors Family Law Association (S.E.L.A), Criminal Law Association and the Law Society Child Care Panel. We have acted and are acting for Local Authorities and other bodies as well as local firms.

In accident and personal injury matters we will consider no win no fee, Legal Expenses insurance, after the event insurance and Conditional Fee arrangements.

We operate from two offices in the South East Northumberland area of North East England. This allows us to provide services for a wide variety of people and businesses, close to their place of business and their homes.

The area has a mixed economy of manufacturing and service industries. Morpeth is an old market town with the seat of local government for Northumberland at County Hall. Bedlington, in ancient times, was the centre of power in the whole area. Famous for the Bedlington Terrier, it is a large town made up of a number of old mining communities. Both towns have a modern outlook with a traditional North East England friendly attitude.

We believe in providing cost effective solutions to all problems, in a business like and professional way. At the same time, we have not lost the personal and friendly approach, since we appreciate many people can be frightened, anxious, angry or stressed by what they are seeking advice on, let alone their perception of what a solicitor is like. (Incidentally we do not bite!). Our intention is to place the needs of our clients first.
